Where Do You Fit In?

One of our core purposes at New Life Church is Work:  We are committed to minister to one another and our community through humble service (John 13:1-17).  So the question is, where do you fit it?  Here are a few possibilities.

One of the most important ministries in our church is the worship team.  There task it to lead the congregation in worship and to take us into the Holy of Holies.  They do this through vocal and instrumental music.  If you are a vocalist or musician, maybe this ministry is for you.

Sound/Audio Visual

An important part of the worship team is their support team.  As a member of the sound/audio visual team, you will assist the worship team and the Pastor through running sound, recording, and displaying the visual projection system.  This will take some technical know how, but a willing individual can also be trained.

Another important ministry is that of an usher.  This ministry helps people find where they need to be, gets important information to visitors, assists those with special needs such as the handicapped, and assists in the giving and receiving of the offering.

In many ways, our youth are the church of today.  In working with the Youth Group, you will assist the Youth Group leaders in worship, teaching, outreach activities, and special outings.

Ministering to our children is an important part of what we do at New Life Church.  They are the future of our congregation.  Those involved in this ministry assist the Children’s Pastor during Children’s Church, help in running the nursery, and other duties as the Children’s Pastor deems important.

Junior Bible Quiz offers a fun, exciting way to motivate children to understand the all-important truths in God’s Word. Through cooperative learning, children work together on teams to learn and understand the questions and answers from the Bible Fact-Pak. Then using cooperative competition the children meet with other teams from around the state and country for a fun quizzing match. It has been said that JBQ is the fastest growing discipleship program in children’s ministry.

Angel Food Ministries is a program that helps people by providing top quality groceries at a very low cost.  Some the ways that you can help with this ministry is by taking orders for the upcoming distribution, pick orders at the central distribution site, distribute orders on pick up day, assist customers by helping them get their orders to their vehicles, and other duties as the coordinator deems helpful.

Men’s ministries provide men a chance to bond with other men through prayer, Bible study, and encouragement.

Women’s ministries is very similar to Men’s ministries except that…well, it’s for women.  It is unique to their needs and personalities, but it has a distinctively spiritual focus.

Now how could you go wrong when you go to a church that has a coffee ministry?  We believe that our worship experience should take place in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.  As a result, we provide refreshments such as coffee, tea, and hot chocolate at our morning service.  Involvement in this ministry consists of helping the Coffee Ministry coordinator in providing this service.
